Collective Bargaining Agreement Signed by All

County Executive Julie Giordano is pleased to announce the Collective Bargaining Agreement has been finalized and signed by all parties. The newly signed document will provide Sheriff’s Deputies with an improved pay scale, higher starting salary and a cost-of-living adjustment for any Deputy who retires after today, July 1, 2024.

“We are beyond excited to implement this new CBA with our FOP. While this took a little longer that we anticipated, the agreement was definitely worth the wait. A few highlights include an increase in wages, an increase in longevity pay, the implementation of a 2.5% COLA in retirement, and will compensate our deputies for field training.” Julie Giordano.

C.E. Giordano continued, “we have the best law-enforcement agency in Wicomico County, and while we wish we were able to do so much more for them, we really hope this new CBA will help attract new deputies and retain the great men and women that we have at our sheriff’s office.”
