‘Mental fitness’: Biden campaign co-chair says president has no concerns despite polling

President Biden’s campaign co-chair Mitch Landrieu said the president is not worried about his mental fitness, despite polls that show the 81-year-old’s ability to lead the country remains a big concern for voters ahead of the election.

Mr. Landrieu was questioned by NBC News’ Peter Alexander on “Meet the Press” Sunday on why Mr. Biden wouldn’t step aside and let another Democrat run for president in an effort to eliminate the “mental fitness” drag on the party’s nominee.

“Well, first of all, Joe Biden doesn’t have any concerns about his mental fitness, nor do I. I’ve spent an incredible amount of time with Joe Biden,” Mr. Landrieu said. “That’s just the fade that the other side is pushing. Joe Biden has taken this country from being in a cataclysmic downfall to actually leading the world once again.”

  1. His mental fitness is so bad he can’t understand how bad his polling is. I can see it now though. At his debate with President Trump he will all of a sudden be smart. Look for the ear piece!
