Tom Fitton, President of Judicial Watch, revealed that FBI documents show the agency continued to investigate Ashli Babbitt for months after her death during the January 6th Capitol riot.
According to Judicial Watch on Tuesday May 21, 2024, Babbitt, a 35-year-old Air Force veteran, was fatally shot by a Capitol police officer as she attempted to breach a barricaded door inside the Capitol building.
Fitton’s statement has reignited controversy and debate surrounding the FBI’s handling of the January 6th investigation.
“The FBI documents show the FBI investigated Ashli Babbitt for months after she was killed on January 6th,” Fitton tweeted. “They were pursuing criminal allegations against a dead woman!
