Mitch McConnell Will Step Down As Senate Republican Leader In November

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell will step down as Senate Republican leader in November.

“One of life’s most underappreciated talents is to know when it’s time to move on to life’s next chapter,” McConnell said Wednesday in prepared remarks first obtained by The Associated Press (AP). “So I stand before you today … to say that this will be my last term as Republican leader of the Senate.”

McConnell said he will serve out his Senate term, which ends in January 2027, “albeit from a different seat in the chamber.”

  1. “One of life’s most underappreciated talents is to know when it’s time to move on to life’s next chapter,” McConnell said… Too bad he way overshot his time to step down!

  2. He should step down now, before anymore damage is done by his Rino agenda. No need to wait for November.

  3. Truly about time!
The last good thing this waste of oxygen did FOR this country was to prevent Garland from becoming a SCOTUS justice!

  4. Thats 1. Several more….then new elections for the house in Nov..

Then lets discuss term limits for both the House and Senate!
