The Democrat Party goes to ridiculous lengths to protect its own — until it doesn’t. When the Democrats smell blood in the water they throw their embattled colleagues under the bus in a heartbeat.
Minnesota Democrat Sen. Al Franken was a perfect example.
When Franken was first accused by a conservative talk-radio host of forcing an unwanted kiss on her during a 2006 U.S.O. tour, his Senate Democrat colleagues rushed to defend him. Seven more women followed with similar accusations about Franken, and just three weeks after the first accusation, he was toast — and forced to resign.
This brings us to besieged Joe Biden — although not because of his creepy affinity for sniffing women’s hair.
The objective among us have been aware of Biden’s declining cognitive capacity since at least his infamous 2020 presidential basement campaign. We’ve also been aware of the so-called “mainstream” media’s yeoman’s effort to shield Biden’s steady decline from the beginning.
In the aftermath of the release of the explosive Hur Report, in which Biden was described as a “sympathetic elderly man with a poor memory,” calls for the 81-year-old president to step down, or at least end his reelection bid, have reached fever pitch — not only from Republicans and independents but also from a growing number of Democrats.
