Salisbury Maryland Trash Pickup Resolved?

SALISBURY, Maryland — The Department of Field Operations is pleased to announce that it has been able to work through its pickup deficit and will be returning to the regular trash and recycling gathering schedule next week following the Jan. 14, Martin Luther King holiday. Residents whose normal trash pickup falls on Monday will be picked up on Tuesday, Jan. 15.

“We would like to thank our residents for their patience and understanding during this trying time,” Director of Field Operations Mike Dryden said. “While we’d like to thank the town of Berlin for their assistance, we also want to point out that the hard work of our crews in this extraordinary challenge is most responsible for us getting back on track.”

  1. Now > LOWER THE BILL !!!! Salisbury charges WAY too much for the Sewer/ water/trash Bill over $300.00
every 3 months = over $100.00 month !!!! People Here cannot afford That . Just because the Wealthy
outsiders who move here can / don’t mean the rest of us can !!!!!

There should be an Option to Opt out for Trash ( get a County sticker for the year $60 ) & Opt out for water
since many of have a Water well ( WE can use the well , even though we have to hook up to city line )
Saving us Alot of Money $$$$$$$$ !!!!!! using a switch to use one or the other !!!!

    1. It isn’t because wealthy outsiders are moving here. It’s because you are letting wealthy ex chicken farmers run the government while they sit around smoking weed looking for new taxes that those that move here to pay.

  2. How ironic..Jake legacy bike lanes , more traffic, more trash to pickup from the left incomentency..now he on a state level..no wonder this state is so unfriendly to actual middle class tax payers..you know the ones who pay the bills

  3. January 14, 2024 is today, Sunday
MLK Holiday is observed on Monday, January 15, 2024
Tuesday, January 16, 2024 is the return to work day for those with the holiday off.

The PR release needs to be drafted and approved by someone able to read a calendar.

Resisting snark on this one but you are welcome to indulge.

  4. Salis workers are Tearing Up our Trash Cans with the SQUEEZER truck / & they throw the plastic Tubs for
Recycle too rough & crack them !!!
Salis should have to replace these for FREE !!!!!!

  5. We made a mistake voting for Liberal Randy Taylor. I think we should do a recall petition to remove him from office. He’s had plenty of time to get rid of Andy Kitzrow the fake city administrator and the main problem with the city garbage trucks. Then he hired John Tull from the fire department as the deputy city administrator. Yes, the same John Tull who supported and endorsed Meagan Outten for Mayor. Then he hires Rob Frampton as the Fire Chief. The same Rob Frampton who lives in Easton and has a take home car and free gas. Thanks to John Tull for having a say in this hiring. Another city fire department employee that doesn’t even live in the city limits but endorsed and supported Megan Outten for mayor. Their fire union even contributed to her campaign.

Randy Day, oops, I mean Randy Taylor, is a weak leader and failing the city taxpayers.
