FBI Tapes Expose James Biden’s Bribery Scheme ‘He was the Man’s Brother,’ Says Mississippi Attorney

It has been revealed that FBI bribery probe tapes recorded James Biden, the brother of President Joe Biden, back in 2008.

As reported by Newsmax on Sunday, December 17, 2023, the tapes, which resurfaced during the House Oversight investigation and the ongoing impeachment inquiry, shed light on James Biden’s involvement in a bribery scheme unrelated to his family’s influence-peddling schemes.

According to The Washington Post, Mississippi trial attorney Richard Scruggs admitted to paying James and Sara Biden’s “consulting firm” $100,000 to facilitate the passage of a 1997 big tobacco law in the Senate.

James Biden’s connection to then-Senator Joe Biden, who initially opposed the bill but later became one of its staunchest defenders, played a crucial role in the deal.

Despite the law’s failure to pass, Scruggs and his firm went on to benefit from the $248 billion Big Tobacco settlement in 1998, amassing between $300 million and $400 million.

Scruggs acknowledged hiring James Biden primarily because of his ties to his brother, stating, “He was the man’s brother.”
