Washington, D.C.–Congressman Andy Harris M.D. (MD-01), Chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies released the following statement on the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals decision on the Maryland handgun training law.
Statement From Congressman Harris:
“Today’s decision by the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals overturning the training provision in Maryland’s law that restricted the ability of law-abiding citizens to own a firearm to defend themselves was the right decision. In the face of ever-increasing crime in Maryland, every citizen has the Second Amendment right to defend themselves without Maryland’s liberal government interfering with that right.”
MD better start going by FEDERAL LAW set by the SUPREME COURT !!!!!!
Just so you know, the Supreme Court doesn’t make laws. They only interpret laws made by congress. Just saying.
Thank You Andy
Take it easy everyone. You’re still required to comply with that law, pending appeal.
