Senator Ron Johnson expressed his gratitude for the investigation initiated by House Weaponization Select Committee Chair Jim Jordan into the intelligence community and the alleged obstruction of an inquiry conducted by him and Senator Chuck Grassley regarding Hunter Biden.
As reported by Newsmax on Sunday, November 5, 2023, Johnson emphasized that the corruption within federal law enforcement was an even more significant scandal.
During an interview on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures” with Maria Bartiromo, the Wisconsin Republican stated that the FBI’s handling of the investigation, which it had labeled as “Russian disinformation,” was a scandal of equal gravity as the alleged corruption involving the Biden family.
Senator Jordan had written a letter to National Intelligence Director Avril Haines, indicating that his committee was “investigating allegations that the U.S. Intelligence Community obstructed a congressional inquiry in 2020.

Johnson and Grassley asserted that an August 6, 2020, briefing by the FBI’s then-deputy assistant director for counterintelligence, Nikki Floris, and its then-Section Chief of the Foreign Influence Task Force Bradley Benavides had interfered with their investigation into the business dealings of President Joe Biden’s family, including his son Hunter.
