Tensions Flare as Mayor Eric Adams and VP Kamala Harris Confront Migrant Crisis at 9/11 Memorial

In a poignant scene at Manhattan’s 9/11 memorial on Monday, Mayor Eric Adams stood beside a grinning Vice President Kamala Harris, embodying the simmering tensions between local and federal Democrats concerning the ongoing migrant crisis.

According to the New York Post on Monday, September 11, 2023, Kamala Harris, filling in for President Biden at the hallowed service, appeared jovial throughout the morning, sharing smiles and laughter with Governor Kathy Hochul, who stood to her left.

In stark contrast, Mayor Adams, positioned to the vice president’s right, wore a visible frown, underscoring the evident divide between City Hall and the White House regarding the crisis.

Despite the frosty optics, Mayor Adams later assured The Post that he and Vice President Harris exchanged pleasantries during the event but refrained from discussing the overwhelming influx of migrants into the city.

“I wanted to be there to show my respect,” the mayor emphasized, referring to the solemn service.

  1. Faux outrage. NY declared proudly it was a sanctuary state. Now you want to bitch and moan because it’s affecting your city/state. Shut up and deal with it hypocrite.
