Don’t you mean, “What’s the point of having a County Charter that establishes the rules that Wicomico County elected officials, Department Heads, and employees, are sworn to follow”?

Julie didn’t follow the same process as was successfully used for other positions.. Yes, that means they were ditched on a technicality – but I agree with the Council on this one.
The Council worked with her on the properly filled positions showing the potential for cooperation exists…

I hope that this matter does go before a judge and a ruling is determined. The harsh facts are, Madam Executive blatantly ignored the County Charter, in a deliberate attempt to hire two BBF and she got caught. Now a Judge will have two possible decisions. No. 1, Madam Executive did indeed follow the rules, as written in the County Charter and her two BBF can remain, which in this case isn’t any big deal or, No. 2, Madam Executive is wrong and repayment will be made in full of the salaries paid to this two BBF. The pretty girl isn’t getting her way and she’s throwing a crybaby fit.
I’ll say this about Julie…no one works harder at being hated in this county than her…
She’s a deeply rooted mean spirted person who demands everything go according to her plan and “to hell” with anyone else.
This whole fiasco is a great example of how much money and time this whole county executive system wastes on the tax payers….we need LESS GOVERNMENT not more…get rid if it.
Rick Pollitt (D) seemed to embrace the County Executive position pretty well. During Pollitt’s term as County Executive, it was the County Council that had difficulty accepting its limited role in the new form of government. Then enter Bob Culver (R) and Julie Giordano (R) who both ignored the County Charter in attempts to appoint persons into positions that require County Council confirmation. The County Charter (Wicomico’s equivalent to the Constitution and Bill or Rights) was ignored by both (R) County Executives. The written Law is what guides an orderly and peaceful government coexistence. Beginning to see something familiar here?
Slick Ricky failed upward through life. Been on the public trough almost as long as Biden.
That said, Julie made a serious error by putting people to work who had yet to be approved and appointed. Now they’re out of work and their checks were not approved. Plus, it seems council exercised its prerogative to cut the jobs from the budget meaning there is no redo for her or the hapless non-appointees until next budget year.
The Eastern Shore has become a Communist hellhole, Corrupt dirty Politicians, Rude ignorant and selfish only looking out for themselves. People need to leave the shore and never look back. Your sanity is more important
