  1. I gotta laugh, because none of the excuses applies to OC.
Who ever wrote the article , obviously , has never been there.

    1. 11:22 – I have to agree. I live in OC and there are really 2 seasons – beach season, where we get the majority of our crime from vacationers, and the rest of the year.

  2. Hard to compare Ocean City with a summertime daily population of over 200,000 or more to other places. When the population is 8,000 in the winter, how about using THOSE stats?

    1. 6:22 – you are EXACTLY right. Instead, OC gets an unfair rap because the writers of those articles take stats from the summer months (from all of the trash Ricky and company target for their marketing and advertising). I live in OC year round, and it is a very different town come late September through early April.

  3. I have been saying Salisbury no 1 crime murders & break ins went up when Jake took office since his whole term & will continue to do so under Jack Heath. If you don’t believe it move in near the Salvation Army area I have lived here since 1970. Ask the SPD about the nickname for Duncan who just left she was known as “Chief Hug a Thug”. Tried to say this at AARP recent meeting where Jack Heath was speaker after taking office. Two of us were shut down & told crime was down! TRUTH.
