ANNAPOLIS, MD — Governor Moore and Orioles Chair and Managing Partner John Angelos released the following joint statement regarding Camden Yards:
“The last four months have been exciting on and off the field. Baltimore City and the State of Maryland all have Orioles fever. We’ve laid the groundwork for success, and progress is also being made on our vision to expand and revitalize the Camden Yards campus.
We are determined to make it happen, and soon.
What comes next for the Camden Yards campus must serve our entire community and the city as a whole. From the ballpark and surrounding neighborhoods to Harborplace and the Inner Harbor, we are committed to making the downtown corridor a premier destination that benefits Baltimore and Maryland residents year-round.
We have shared ideals to create a thriving and inclusive Baltimore, not just for the Orioles, but for all those who call it home.”
I will never go to CAMDEN YARDS and haven’t for years because of the crime and outlandish parking fees. I don’t even watch the ORIOLES on TV, since they no longer care about their fans.
dont understand the teams make money? but want the state and its citizens to pay for up keep and new stadiums. what happen to the money they made?
Wes wants Moore doesnt influence me…but i will tell u, at the local beach watering hole, we are enjoying the youthful Os win win win. Mid week we r watching and cheering. Even the tourons are cheering. Keep it up Os we r cheering loudly on the island.
And drinking too!
who wastes their time and money on these irrelevant fools?
Baltimore Orioles owners care nothing for the city or the fans that support them. They don’t care to have a winning team. All the owners want to do is develope great players and then profit by selling then to teams that really care about their city and it’s fans. I’ve seen this play out year after year, wait and see.
