Former Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan said Sunday he passed on a 2024 run for the White House because of the “multicar pileup” that is building for the GOP primary.
Speaking to ABC’s “This Week” Hogan said he decided not to run because “We have too many candidates and do the same thing we did in 2016. But I don’t think too many people are following that advice; looks like a lot of folks are going to be jumping in.”
Hogan, who announced in March he would not seek the GOP nomination for 2024, said around this time in the 2016 presidential election cycle, the front-runners were Jeb Bush and Scott Walker.
“And Donald Trump wasn’t on the horizon,” he said. “So, everybody is talking now about Trump and [Florida Gov. Ron] DeSantis, but it can change. I mean, somebody is going to rise up, and it’s a long way from the election.”
Earlier in the interview, Hogan said “it is interesting that Donald Trump refuses to debate the Republican challengers and that President Biden refuses to debate the Democratic challengers.”

He had no chance of winning anything more than urinal-mint-changer after endorsing a Democrat as his successor. He would have done better by not endorsing anyone!

He knew that it was no secret that he is a RHINO REPUBLICAN DEMOCRAT and MARYLANDERS let it be known. COMRADE HOGAN endorsed a DEMON DEMOCRAT to be his successor and MD tax payers let it be known. He could not even win DOG CATCHER in MD.

Truth is his time as Governor of Md was a joke he was supposed to be a Republican but in reality was as woke as they come. He accomplished zero for Md the only thing he attended was dinners in every county and that was all. For a man that ran on the sympathy ticket of having cancer he never lost an ounce and only put on more & more weight and distanced himself from any kind of work or changes for Maryland that would improve our lives. Can anyone think of one thing he did and succeeded at? Come on name one thing. We’re all just glad he’s gone better if he moved to his wife’s home country, he would never be missed. He’s just another Joe Biden accomplished zero and just likes media attention anyway he can get it.
