Around The Local Scene

“Allley Oops, Fagers & Bad Monkey have all gotten rid of Bud Light… more places in OC are following suit.”

At my local watering hole the bartender said, “No one drinks Bud Light here anyway”.

What’s your thoughts on Bud Light using a transgender person on their cans?

For me I just think it’s not only stupid, I think it is one of the dumbest marketing ideas any major company could’ve ever come up with.

You?

  1. cancel all products from the manufacturer….there are plenty of other beers to choose from. no more products of theirs will be consumed by my family.

  2. In their haste they completely lost their real, buying customers. In an era that is so competitive in the beer market, no one can loose market share or they will be doomed. AHB just shot themselves in the foot, and they are about to pay through the nose for this lapse in judgement.

  3. Personally, I could care less. I don’t think it was a good retail decision, as I doubt the trans community is a large portion of their sales. I’m just waiting for women to actually realize and complain about the intrusion on their strides towards equality. I mean, now these trans men are deemed better at being women than those born female.

Regardless of political affiliation or what sex you think you are today, why are we catering to and changing laws and policies over the complaints of less than 5% of the population. Live the lifestyle you want, but don’t expect everyone to understand or be in agreement.

    1. I believe he actually has contracts with both Nike and Tampax. Strange new world!

Heartened to read about customer and vendor pushback on the so called beer.

  4. The majority in this country, many Dems included are tired of this trans bullshit being shoved down our throats. I think people have felt helpless to do anything about it until now. Boycotting Bud Lite might not be much but it’s at least something we can do to send a message to all the woke corporations. Hopefully this movement continues gaining steam and effectively destroys what was once a great American company. Now that would send a message!

  5. You need to start paying attention. This was not a “marketing idea”. Anhieser Bush was threatened , bribed and tax incentivized to push this agenda by our government. The intent is shame, ciaos and further moral decay. This type of thing has happened with multiple produces and companies in the past few years. People need to boycott every product from these companies….not just “bud light” I could care less abought their beer or their transvestites, but the constant manipulation, brainwashing and attacks on this Country infuriate me.

    1. Exactly right. ESG Ratings. Google it. It’s what companies are trying to boost doing shit like this. It improves their ability to borrow money at better rates the higher the score. The Big Banks are the ones behind this. Even the biggest, most profitable companies have to still borrow money to operate/expand.

  6. They’ve lost almost $5 BILLION since this stunt. Keep up the good work! Go Woke, Go Broke. Hope we can make it $20 billion. You want this political BS to stop being shoved down your throat, you hit them where it hurts, the pockets! Wonder how long they will let the company free fall before they admit they were wrong? This could go down as one of the biggest businesses blunders in American history. Hopefully, this will be a valuable lesson to all other companies thinking about joining in on the woke movement. Just sell your products and stay out of social/political issues, it never ends well.

  7. Marketing to a group representing LESS THAN 1% of the population.

While pissing off most of the others.

I’ve said it before — be as strange, as weird, and as whack as you wanna be.
But DON’T try to make me think I am a bad person because I don’t like it, or that I must accept it as “normal”.
It ain’t normal and MOST people DON’T think it is…..
Don’t hold these people up to be our “heroes” and the “best we have” (Maryland Governor quote, by the way….).

We arent’ sliding down a slippery slope of the crashing of our proud country — we are running at full speed….
And our “leaders”??? Running behind us with an electric prod.

    Keep cheering.
