Governor Moore Orders Maryland Flag to be Lowered to Half Staff in Memory of Construction Workers Killed During I-695 Crash

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Governor Wes Moore today directed the Maryland flag be lowered until sunset, March 24, 2023, in memory of the six construction workers who died during a crash on I-695 in Woodlawn on Wednesday afternoon.

“My prayers continue to be with the families and loved ones of the six construction workers who tragically died while on the job,” said Governor Moore. “Today, we honor them and their service to Maryland.”

Governor Moore urges all Marylanders to practice safe driving and follow Maryland driving laws.
