In Response to Discrimination Complaint, Women in Berlin Will Now Be Allowed to Go Topless at Public Pools

Women in Berlin will now be permitted to go topless at all public pools in the German capital city, after a discrimination complaint was brought forth by a female who tried to go topless at a pool and was made to cover up in the name of decency.

The complaint, a charge of “gender-based discrimination,” triggered a response from the Berlin Senate Department for Justice, Diversity and Anti-Discrimination. Ultimately, it was decided that all women will be allowed to go topless at public pools and bare their torsos in front of every man, woman, and child present.

A similar incident occurred in a Berlin water park in the summer of 2021 when security guards asked a French woman to cover her breasts, which she refused to do. The woman, naked from the waist up, was with her 5-year-old son when she was told by security guards to cover up or leave. She sought financial compensation for the so-called “discrimination” she faced in the incident.

“The ombudsperson’s office very much welcomes the decision of the Baederbetriebe, because it establishes equal rights for all Berliners, whether male, female or non-binary,” said Doris Liebscher, the head of the ombudsperson’s office.

“Equal rights for all Berliners” – at the expense of children, morality, and decency, of course.
