AFlorida cop who claims she overdosed on fentanyl after being exposed to it during a traffic stop has said she was handling a super potent version of the drug.
Courtney Bannick blamed drug dealers and ‘street scientists’ for manufacturing strains that are stronger than what scientists have been able to test.
The 26-year-old said she became nauseated and started choking after seizing powder during a traffic stop in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
She was wearing gloves throughout the confiscation of drugs and says the fentanyl was in powdered form and in a folded dollar bill.
It comes after medics cast doubt on cops overdosing on fentanyl just by touching it, saying it takes more than that to kill a person.
