According to a report by John Binder of Breitbart News, Arizona voters recently pulled the lever for a proposition that will grant in-state tuition to illegal aliens, which effectively overturned a prohibition of the practices that was first established in 2006.
Breitbart News reported that the Republican-controlled Arizona state legislature passed in 2021 a plan to put Proposition 308 on the November 8, 2022 in which voters decided to scrap the state’s ban on in-state tuition for illegal alien invaders.
Arizona voters approved Prop 308 by a margin of 51% to 49%. In October, several Arizona Republicans such as former gubernatorial candidate Karrin Taylor Robson and Arizona House Speaker Rusty Bowers, who both signed a letter calling on GOP Arizona voters to approve Proposition 308. The letter read as follows:
Prop 308 is the smart thing to do and it is also the right thing to do. Dreamers are Arizona kids, and they deserve the same opportunities as other Arizona students. This is their home. Let’s make sure our college-bound Dreamers, who meet the same requirements as their classmates, pay the same in-state tuition rate. It’s only fair.
In addition to Arizona Republicans who belong to the party’s cheap labor wing, there was big donor money flowing in to get this proposition approved. This included TheDream.US, of which Bill Gates, the Ford Foundation, anti-gun oligarch Michael Bloomberg, and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg
