City Council President Nick Mosby granted delay in ethics case

A Baltimore City judge on Monday has delayed the ethics proceedings against City Council President Nick Mosby until January.

Mosby has asked for the delay because he said he couldn’t find a lawyer. The proceedings will begin on Jan. 10.

Judge Laurence Fletcher Hill said if Mosby cannot find a lawyer by Jan. 10 he would have to represent himself.

In May, the city ethics board ruled unanimously that Mosby violated ethics rules in connection with a legal defense fund set up for him and his wife, Baltimore City State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby.

Nick Mosby said he would comply with the request to return any money he received from the fund and produce a list of donors.

  1. Cant find a lawyer? Bwahahahahah. Thats like Rickie saying it was a great summer of 2022 when there was vacancies galore especially mid week.

Sad part, this judge knows the mosbeys misbehavior yet allows more time. Geez amd we wonder why nothing ever gets done in society anymore
