UCSB Black Student Union Holds Segregated Movie Screening: White People Not Welcome

The University of California Santa Barbara’s Black Student Union held a private screening of the new Marvel adventure Wakanda Forever on Wednesday night.

In their announcement of the event on Instagram, organizers made it clear that the event was segregated and white people were not welcome.

Organizers shared, “We are lovingly curating this space to support and affirm Black people and Black joy. We ask that our non-Black allies support our intention of creating a Black affinity and celebration space.”

  1. Systemic racism being continued by the black racists!
We need to get rid of events like this – as well as BET, BIG, NAACP, HBCU, UNCF…or allow a black excluding version!

    Yes, they are different…
Yes, when provided with an earned opportunity (like the rest of us), sometimes they rise to greatness.
Frequently, when given an undeserved opportunity – failure is on the horizon and quickly presents itself!

  2. I’m having a very hard time grasping how people who cannot shut up about racism and racists and how they will never be anything or have anything until WHITE PEOPLE GIVE THEM MORE STUFF, have the audacity to SPECIFICALLY exclude a certain race from an activity.
It seems as though they haven’t learned the lessons of history.
Switch the sides and see how “only white people” would go over at the next physics lecture at the college.

Note: no matter how many millions of dollars are spent telling us how spectacularly brilliant this Wakanda movie is, the movie sucks. NO ONE sees it twice….
