Two Gaithersburg women have started the MoCo Tip Challenge.
Kristina Wesselink and Kristin Johnston are collecting donations through their newly created Facebook page and plan to use the cash to surprise restaurant workers with massive tips.
They got the idea from two moms who started a similar movement in a Chicago suburb.
Wesselink says people are already reaching out, nominating servers and bartenders in the county.
They’re hoping to give a minimum of $500 to each person they surprise and hoping the effort can continue through the holiday season and beyond.
Awesome! At least someone is trying to do something! Everyone else just want to be a slave!
