(PITTSVILLE, MD)- Maryland State Police are investigating a hit and run crash that occurred
Friday evening in Wicomico County.
Shortly before 8:00 p.m. on Friday, 10/14/22, troopers from the Maryland State Police Salisbury
Barrack responded to the area of Old Ocean City Road and Main Street in Pittsville, Maryland
for a hit and run crash. According to witnesses, a two-door Chevrolet Chevelle SS was traveling
west on Old Ocean City Road. At the same time a Ford Pick-up truck began tailgating the
Chevrolet Chevelle SS. The Chevrolet Chevelle SS attempted to slow down and the Ford
Pick-up sped up, rear ended the Chevrolet Chevelle SS and continued to push the Chevrolet
Chevelle into the field prior to leaving the area. The driver of the Chevrolet Chevelle SS, the
front seat passenger and a juvenile rear passenger were transported to Tidal Health by
ambulance.
Evidence collected at the scene includes “Ford” brand vehicle parts. Witnesses on scene
described the suspect vehicle as a newer model, dark colored diesel Ford pick -up truck. The
truck may be lifted with a light kit and have dark colored windows. The suspect vehicle will have
extensive front end damage based on evidence left at the scene. Troopers canvassed the area and
were unable to locate the suspect vehicle.

Until there are consequences for crimes, it will only get worse. These slaps on the wrists don’t deter anything.
I suspect the whole story to this is not being told. There is more to this than is being said.
