As many of you know, I also ride. However, I just came into West OC after riding from Powellville and the bikers above, (many of them) were riding like wild men. I even had one of them fly past me in-between both lanes, scared the crap out of me. Crotch rockets were pulling wheelies and bikers were dodging from one lane to the other. While I personally love my Harley’s, I’d never ride like these people and it’s no wonder there have been so many accidents already. That being said, just slow down, (those of us in cars) and let them have their weekend.

Gray beard near pittsville Thurs crossing 50 hit by a nissan..61 yrs old. He passed but his rider 69 still alive. Rt 90 closed by 50 was a van crossing the median into another car. There have been other issues with bikes already but no deaths. MD leos on bikes are pulling over gray beards. Hello, gray beards are riding, waiting to truly drink later. Mentioned earlier, if gray beards have a bad violation pullem over. A turn signal or light out…Cmon man. LEOs are youngins, adhere to the law but tiny time…..gray beards spending money. Crotch rockets are not. Aggressive vehicle drivers, slow the eff down until monday.
I got passed on 50 while going 63 by your “Greybeards” using both the left lane and the turn lane on my right. Bad acting by any measure. Crap like that generates fatalities, folks, whatever you’re riding.
Don’t agree with the “let them have their weekend”. They should drive like they at least have a little bit of sense and not expect everyone else to look out for them

What IF one cannot afford electric, is there a solution? Not looking for a handout either, what would be the 2nd 3rd and 4th order effects?
Have yet to hear solutions, just we are going to electric by 2035, no gas powered landscaping machines in California, big 3 Mercedes and VW – we will be electric sooner than 2035.
That fine and dandy if everyone could go that route. Ok usa does it. 330 million is the population. Will the rest of the world follow? Europe is small too….India, China ( both with Billions in pop) south america, africa….
Point – is the juice worth the squeeze? Is it a nice to have or a need. Business will tell u its an absolute need since they are making money.

The “older” motorcycle drivers I have seen are respectful and law abiding and not driving recklessly. It’s the young people on those damn crotch rockets that are the problem. They are stupid show offs and disregard any laws of the road they want to. They are the dangerous ones.
