A viral video is making the rounds which perfectly captures the anger, frustration and contempt people have for our elected officials, who flagrantly break their own COVID-19 rules when it suits them – and, as you’ll see, grant well-connected ‘elites’ privileges as regular Americans continue to be devastated by what seems like a two-tiered set of lockdown restrictions.
In this latest example, the owner of the Pineapple Hill Grill & Saloon in Sherman Oaks, Angela M, offers heartbreaking commentary as she walks through her parking lot – revealing that while her own outdoor dining has been shut down due to heightened pandemic restrictions, a movie studio was granted permission to set up outdoor dining tents for a production.
It’s all about the money, a small restaurant don’t pay as much taxes as a Movie or TV company.
TV and film production receives large tax incentives in places like California, New York, Georgia, etc. They’re generally tax exempt. You have no idea what you’re talking about.
This, by the way, is how the Civil War starts. A lot of keyboard warriors say stupid things like “keep your powder dry“ or “lock N load. Newsflash, they ain’t gonna do sh!t. The reason is, most people have too much to lose: mortgages, jobs, businesses, family. but, these restaurant owners really have “lost it all”. Their lives are ruined. in our case, these policies are an inconvenience. We all hate having to stay locked down or not be able to go to the hairdresser. But, our lives are not ruined.
These politicians are actually ruining the lives of these store owners. Let that sink in. They have lost their life work, and their life savings. They are financially ruined. A person who’s had their lives ruined no longer has anything to lose. This is when they snap.
I contend that the first shot is not going to be fired from some keyboard warrior sitting in the basement. It is going to be a restaurant owner who is looking at their finances and realizing they have lost their job, business, and it looks like they are now going to lose their home because they can’t pay their mortgage. Their kids are now at risk. and if they are at a lockdown protest, and some lunatic liberal screams in their face “FU”, that’s when it ends. Shots fired. Other people in the same situation will now start to rise up, and we have an all out war.
These Democrats don’t know when to quit while they’re ahead. They continue to push more and more. It’s one thing to raise our taxes 3% or 4%- it makes us mad, but honestly will get through it. It’s another when your policies have ruined another persons life. That will not stand.
