SALISBURY – Eleven members will take their seats on two new law enforcement review boards following council confirmations this week.
On Tuesday, the Wicomico County Council had before them several nominees to both the police accountability board and the administrative charging committee. Acting County Executive John Psota said his submission of appointments follows requirements set by the Maryland Police Accountability Act of 2021.
“This law required all counties to create three police oversight boards, each of which serves a different function,” he told the council. “The three police oversight boards consist of a police accountability board, or PAB, an administrative charging committee, or ACC, and a trial board.”
In 2021, the Maryland General Assembly passed the Police Accountability Act, which establishes requirements for police accountability and discipline. As part of the bill, counties are responsible for establishing boards and committees that receive and review complaints, offers disciplinary measures and more.
“In April of 2022, the county council created, and the county executive signed into law, the creation of the three police oversight boards,” Psota said. “Collectively, the three boards are referred to as the Law Enforcement Review Board of Wicomico County.”
Great, now we get to hear how every thug and criminal arrested is an upstanding citizen who goes to church 3 days a week and spends their free time volunteering in the community. The only reason they got arrested is because they were black… yada, yada, yada.
Some of the choices are not only laughable but dangerous.
These people do not have the experience or intelligence for this role.

I am very active in the life of Wicomico County. Who are these people? I have never heard of any of them. What , if any, are their qualifications.
The county and state have no problem it is the Salisbury City Police have the problem and her name is Barbara Duncan she has been the worst thing that ever happened to our city police we had good officers who worked for years in Salisbury ones that we should have kept till retirement and ones that came here from other counties to retire someday but in the interim work for our city. We have had more leave the city since she came in office and she is just a yes person for her neighbor Jake Day both of them come up with ridiculous things for the city that do not fit into a town of our size, they are big city ideas and trying to make Salisbury more like Baltimore and the Inner Harbor of which we are not. They do not patrol the city streets at night they only ride through during the day the times they are needed is at night loud parties, groups of teens riding through on scooters chasing each other , coming off Snow Hill Road the other night all traffic was stopped by them, collisions were barely avoided if it hadn’t been by vehicle drivers. Also the ones on the roads driving motorized handicapped vehicles down the middle of streets and believe me the one on Washington Street is not handicapped and he has a long criminal record which should keep him off the streets at all cost. The scooters, motorized bicycles with lawnmower motors, and the low rider motorcycles should be off the streets completely I don’t think they are even licensed or allowed in the first place.
Fun fact…the state was going to water down the PAB law last spring until Mikey Lewis testified and played up things up for the cameras like he always does; it showed people what an unhinged Dwarf he is….now we’re stuck with this awful law…
He’s right about Barbara Duncan. If she didn’t rub elbows with Gay Day so much, she would never have gotten that position in the first place. It’s been downhill ever since. Between the two of them, a mega giant bulldozer couldn;t have mowed this city down any more. They both need to go and soon!!
