Hello everybody, we recently went to the stadium to buy tickets for the game that will be followed by fireworks. Cost of regular bleacher seat $16.00. Cost of parking $5.00. No cash allowed, only your credit card. ( You do know that they sell your credit card information for advertising and other uses, right?). Watch what happens to attendance. Soon they’ll be asking for more funding to make up for their losses. How can young parents with kids even afford prices like this? I’ll watch from the old K-Mart parking lot. Cost: free and will take my own soda. John Palmer. Delmar, Md.
Charging for parking is ridiculous. It’s A ball for God’s sake.
Everyone trying to make up for lost revenues over the last 2 years. Not an optimum business model since lost revenue is just that, lost.
If u are always chasing what you lost….well good luck in your next endeavor.
Cloudy sunday at the beach, everyone is on coastal highway. Hope our fellow hospitality folks are ready again.
“Cost: free”? Nothing is free and your comment suggests that you’re a communist. You want something but aren’t willing to pay for it. Good luck with that. And soda is a stupid thing to drink.
12:01 Wow just wow is all I can say. Greed is a terrible thing. You contribute nothing to society for free do you. Thank you for making me feel good about myself.
Cmon its independence weekend. Callin an American a commie? J Edgar has been dead for a very very long time. We right minded know nothing is free. I dont particularly like the idea of no cash at all. When automation does fail, our snowflakes will not have a clue what to do. I had a youngin unable to make change when our system went down mid week. Told her to bring out the pad, paper and start using that college education she was working on. Said we dont shut down because the system is down.
Commie was a bit too much. I like snowflake better! Buttercup would be offense to butter!
The stadium is expensive to maintain, employees have to be paid, fireworks don’t grow on trees and A league baseball players work for a paycheck. All of the money to do that comes from the gate and, in the case of maintenance, partly from county taxes.
It’s terrible that such nonsense gets any County funding. Do they really? It’s just not a legitimate government project. How does it benefit the general public at all? That money could be put to far better use, or just not taken out of our pockets at all so that we instead could make it own choices about what we want to buy or contribute to.
Life is tough,
Times are hard,
Have a picnic
In your car.
Hot dogs, burgers,
Potato salad,
In your driveway,
Free parking’s valid.
Have family fun
When funds are low,
But pick up your trash
Before you go.

Someone has to pay Steve Millers 20 thousand dollar salary increase and the hot dog cooker is making 84 thousand ! !! Pretty good deal when the rest of us are in depression mode. Close the place. Just a drain on county coffers like the worthless Civic Center.
Fire the hot dog encore chef and let Ed take over. Hell, He has done Brian Workmans job for over 5 years and when Ed retires Miller will have to hire 2 assistants to replace Ed while Brian polishes that seat at the Civic Center.
My dad told me fireworks are for people that have never seen combat.. kinda makes sense I guess.
Is this the same stadium on Wicomico County property that Chris Bitters allow AJ Angelo to place his 8ft by 4ft Campaign sign on it??? It stayed up until another concerned citizen called Mr. Bitters and raised Hell about? Of course Mr. Bitters played dumb and acted like he didn’t know anything about it. It came down after that! Sounds like the same crap that Julie Giordano, James Winn, Shane Baker and Kyle Cole are doing placing there signs illegally all over county and state easements.
6:05 You mad bro? I bet you were the school snitch weren’t you??
By the way there are no bleachers
I stopped going years ago because they added insult to injury by charging for parking. They are in the country!!!!
Like the movie theaters, they have priced themselves out to the market with their greed!
They can have it. I’ll stay home with my big screen TV and entertainment system and invite my friends over! Food and parking is free!
Economics 101. There is no free lunch and you are paying way more in the end to have people over and feed them.
12:27 – Obviously you have not attended an event at the stadium lately.
Admission, food and beer will certainly cost more at the stadium, than a home party, and not having to deal with the general public is another added bonus.
I am not sure what economics class you took but your professor was an idiot.
the hot dog cook is underpaid, there is a lot of pressure on him.
Yes its a bit pricey but really any stadium is so I don’t think that will hurt atttendance. Like someone said above, there are a lot of cost asscoiated with running the stadium and if they don’t make the money from those attending events then more than likely they will go for tax payers money to make up the difference.
In regards to selling your Credit Card information, well that would be illegal. No campany can sell your credit card information unless they are scammers. yes they may sell private infmoration but certainly not credit card.
If you are worried about private information then just throw your cell phone away. Almost all the apps on your cell phone are individually selling your private data that includes where you go, where you work, where you live, what you like to buy. Can also listen in on your conversations because most of the apps have access to not only your contact list but also your photos, microsohone and can access your calls as you are speaking. A lot of this data can still be collected even when your phone is turned off since its not really ever “off” unless the battery is completely dead.
I actually get a kick out of people who will not get devices like the Amazon Alexa because of privacy yet they carry a cell phone eveywhere they go. Most alexa devices are stationary at your home but yor cell and all its apps follow you everywhere and are happily selling that private information to anyone who is will to pay the price.
I am not happy about our loss of privacy but its pointless to make a stand on it if your carrying around the biggest violation of our privacy in your pocket every where you go. Nothing even is close to what our cell phones pass on about us.
hot dogs are very difficult to cook, if you can get a hot dog cook for under $80000 a year you have done well. they are in high demand.
I’ll do it for $ 79,900, I have a lot of experience cooking hotdogs !
look at other salaries at the civic center and the hot dog cook comes in at the low end of the spectrum. hes pissed at making only $84000 a year
Just so you know it. Information on these sales are sold. Why do you think you are getting all the scam phone calls on credit. No. This is not a nice world.
Watch the game tonight. Shorebirds won. Fantastic fire works. And the parking was 5.00 But CASH was accepted. So whoever wrote that is was card only for the parking was wrong.
who gives a rats ass about athletes? the moment they are no longer relevant you’ll hear them cry!
