A Viewer Writes: Peninsula Regional Medical Center

Just an FYI, Peninsula Regional Medical Center is over capacity. They have no room to admit patients. Dozens of people are being held in the ER because there’s absolutely no room. If you go to Peninsula Regional Medical Center for any medical problem, you should expect a very long wait.

  1. Let me start by stating I respect the Nurses and Doctors a lot. But in any profession there are screw-ups that don’t care.
The only area of PRMC that I trust is the Coronary Wing and the CCU unit. The rest of PRMC is worst than a My Doc’s IN or a small Medical center. Their Nurses are very rough and non-caring drawing blood or inserting IV’s.

Since they have taken over several DOCTOR practices they no longer care about Patient care but about making money.

I include several Doctor’s that they have taken over their practice.

Socialized medicine is here. All they care about is how much money can we make and not Patient care. That is why they do not allow a Family member in and the Doctors do not allow them in on Doctor visits. A Family member can give important info and also make rational decisions for the Patient. This is not what they want. They want the right to make their money decisions the only decision, whether it is in the best interest of the Patients.

I know from recent experiences from PRMC and also a Doctor in their network that told me to go see another Doctor or Hospital when I told him that he was not duplicating a test I just had and was not in his office for that test but for another test.

  2. Please correct me if I am wrong, but a few years ago they closed a wing, that has empty beds.
The place is mismanaged and always will be. Most hospitals in high poverty communities suk and PRMC is no different.

I have intentionally taken test results and pictures to outside doctors to review and you would not believe the stuff this craphole has missed. Stuff that was in the results that they never bothered to mention, or tumors that were clearly there and not noted on the report.

Peninsula Imaging is also slipping as they use the same doctors to read test results. I went to a notable Specialist in Wilmington who openly mentioned the terrible report they received from them compared to the actual scan I brought.

They probably sold off to circumvent the large amount of lawsuits against them.

I also heard they are not testing their staff for covid. Say What? Yes that is what their staff is reporting.
