Boxcar 40 In Pittsville Made Major Changes

As many of you might already know, I used to own this building years ago. I was excited when Station 7 purchased it from me as I considered building a bar/restaurant there myself. However, I was too busy and encouraged the Wampler’s to do so. 

Since then the property changed hands/businesses a couple times and now that Boxcar 40 is there they have done a fantastic job recreating the spot by adding a large bar in the main dining area, makes all the sense in the world. 

The owner and staff are very kind, the food is fantastic and the prices are just right. The only downfall I experienced was the crappy chlorine tasting water from the town of Pittsville. I’d avoid a glass of water if I were you. 

This is one of those out of sight, out of mind mind places but certainly a place to experience. Local residents should thank their lucky stars someone is willing to risk delivering quality food and dining experience. It was worth the trip from Ocean City and we’ll be returning soon to try more items on their menu.
