Maryland Fishing Report

White perch are providing plenty of action for those fishing off docks and piers in the tidal rivers and creeks.

The 2022 cobia season got off to a reasonable start and a number of them were caught in Maryland waters near the Target Ship and the Middle Grounds.

Deep Creek Lake offers a variety of fishing options, and being out on the water at daybreak is a must this time of the year because of boat traffic.

  1. Caught nothing a but a small sunburn yesterday on the assawoman bay. Zero keepers. Oh well, just came back from the inlet – hammock city is alive and pumping under the pier. Gonna be a great beach day and the aroma of homemade south american food will be flowing!

    Stopped by and saw the volleyball folks getting ready for a huge tournament (1st street). Wow with some of those ladies outfits! Knew I could stay down their too long before I turned into a pumpkin. Gonna try the bay one more time today (I know I won’t catch anything), maybe I will catch a few good sights instead!!!!!!!
