Largest Pork Company in the US Shuts Down California Plant Due to High Costs

Food processing corporation Smithfield Foods will shut down its Vernon, California, plant and scale back operations in California, Utah and Arizona, the company announced Friday.

Smithfield “will cease all harvest and processing operations in Vernon, California in early 2023 and, at the same time, align its hog production system by reducing its sow herd in its Western region,” the company said in a Friday news release.

“Smithfield is taking these steps due to the escalating cost of doing business in California,” the company said.

  1. California is a mess with debt AND not tax friendly.

I’m sure Smithfield can work with another state – BUT dontcha dare think about leaving our country!!

  2. Want the truth they sold out to Communist China just like a lot of our other Companies. Do you still want to purchase Smithfield Products, probably not.

But since the 1% own all the Companies in the World too and they have been putting crap in our foods all our lives what choice do we really have. Okay we can grow our own foods but guess what that probably won’t work either because they took care of the soil too with all the Chem Trails they have sprayed. As for Meats make sure the Butcher did not Vaccinate his Livestock before he sold the Meat to you. I don’t know what to tell you the foods I am seeing that they want us to eat I have never had before and the ones that are the best for you I can’t stand so don’t know about you but I am just totally screwed.
