The feeling of malaise in the nation is palpable as Americans search for any good news among a slew of Democrat-led failures and disasters. In the midst of sky-high inflation, the border crisis, rising violent crime, the stock market crashing, and foreign policy blunders left and right, Biden and his party allies have been searching for any kind of message they can capitalize on.
hat search has been like trying to find water in the Sahara, as evidenced by the rush to make abortion a mid-term issue following the majority draft decision leak from the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade. Democrats have convinced themselves that they’ve finally found something they can make political hay with.
Well, I’m here to bear some bad news for the left: Their last, best hope to turn things around before the mid-terms is crashing and burning. NBC News has a new survey out, and not only is Joe Biden in full-scale collapse, but the issue polling is a flashing red light for Democrats.
Those right-track/wrong-track numbers are something. Only 16 percent believe the country is currently on the right track, and that’s always bad news for any party that controls the White House and Congress. There’s nowhere for Democrats to go, which is what led to Biden laughably trying to blame Republicans for not having a “plan” for inflation last week.
That dog won’t hunt, though. When you win an election, you take on all the responsibilities and consequences of that. Blaming the party with no power almost never works to turn public opinion. That’s especially true when things are so objectively awful on so many fronts, which is evidenced by Biden’s 39 percent approval rating.
