Teacher running for county exec. slams Maryland schools’ gender identity instruction

Publishers Notes: GOOD FOR HER! I CANNOT BELIEVE SOME OF YOU ARE OUTRAGED OVER HER opinion/beliefs. FINALLY A POLITICIAN WHO IS OPENLY WILLING TO TAKE A STAND.

The National Desk (TND) spoke with longtime Maryland public school teacher and GOP candidate for Wicomico County Executive Julie Giordano about the state’s curriculum standards instructing teachers to discuss gender identity and expression with students as soon as kindergarten.

“As a parent and an educator, it’s just so concerning and disturbing that the state is trying to implement this in our schools,” said Giordano, speaking exclusively to TND. “Kindergarten, especially.”

Under the “gender identity and expression” subcategory of the Maryland State Department of Education’s (MSDE) framework on health education, students – beginning in kindergarten – are expected to know how to “recognize a range of ways people identify and express their gender.”

Instruction on gender identity and sexuality expands as a student’s grade level increases, according to the state’s health education guidelines, which indicate there is an “opt-out (not opt-in)” option for such instruction starting in grade 4. It is unclear in MSDE’s health curriculum framework whether the opt-out option is available for parents of students below the 4th grade, but state law does require an opt-out option for all such instruction regardless of grade.

Giordano said state curriculum standards should not be used to push gender identity and sexuality ideology on students, and that the teachers being instructed to implement these lessons are not even qualified to do so.

“We as educators are having to take on so many different roles at this point,” Giordano told TND. She said it was “really alarming” to see that state educational standards and other guidelines are “being pushed on us to teach social-emotional learning, or to teach these identity standards, or somehow weave these into your curriculum.” Particularly, she said, because it forces teachers to begin “messing with something that we are not educated in messing with.”

  1. Are you starting to see the pattern here….. luciferian ideology Is exactly what they are trying to push on children.

  2. BOOM! Just got my vote. If crazed harpy man-hating feminist witches cutting off our son’s balls and young womens’ boobs (cause that’s what this is- no need to sugarcoat anymore) isn’t your top priority, you need new priorities.

Suck on that Julia Glanz and James Yakawana and Mayor fake Day.

  3. democrats are fine with it because none are moral people. They are not civilized human beings. Debatable if they are even human beings since animals are more protective of their young then democrats are. democrat parents/grandparents and other democrat relatives groom children in their care to not only be accepting of perversions but to be perverts.

  4. Any teacher or parent who thinks it’s appropriate to teach and teaches this to children is a pedophile. It arouses the teacher and parents when they think about children learning this. That is what it is all about. Their arousal and pleasure because they are fulfilling their own sexual attraction to children.

  5. md education guidelines are set by the governor’s pick of education secretary! so you can thank that fat loser hogan for this bs!
