Biden’s Staff Says Dr. Fauci Has Been ‘Very Helpful’; Fauci Says He Hopes To Stay On

Presumed President-elect Joe Biden revealed on Tuesday that his staff has spoken to Dr. Anthony Fauci, and it sounds like it was a lovefest between the two men.

Biden said that he has not spoken to Fauci personally, but that his staff said he has been “very, very helpful” in the process.

CNN’s Jim Acosta also tweeted that Fauci confirmed that he has had preliminary conversations with members of Biden’s team.

“Dr. Fauci confirms he’s had preliminary conversations with members of Biden team. Fauci said he has not had any substantive discussions with Biden aides as of yet. But he looks forward to that, he added. Fauci reiterated  he hopes to stay on and continue his work on the pandemic,” Acosta wrote.

Fauci confirmed to CNN that he’s spoke with the president-elect’s team and that he hopes to stay on in his role as the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
