Publishers Notes: This is a follow up story connected to Salisbury Maryland Mayor Jake Day.
The Maryland National Guard announced on Wednesday, May 26, that it will not challenge the finding that a Black guard member was subjected to racism on the basis of his skin color when he was forced to wear a chain as a form of discipline while in Officer Candidate School in 2015.
Sgt. Bruce Weaver first filed the complaint alleging discrimination in 2017 after he was dropped from the program for failure to make progress, and last month the National Guard Bureau ruled that Weaver had proven his claims.
The bureau called the punishment “the most humiliating punishment imaginable” for a Black soldier.
According to a copy of the decision obtained by USA Today, the bureau recommended that Weaver be allowed to re-enter Officer Candidate School and advised that Maryland consider disciplinary action for those involved in the discrimination.
The Maryland National Guard will request an exemption to the age limit of 42 for soldiers to commission as officers to allow Weaver, now 44, to re-enter.
“The Maryland National Guard carefully reviewed the hearing examiner’s recommendations and is requesting an exception to policy from the National Guard Bureau that may grant an age-restricting waiver for the Soldier to re-enroll in Officer Candidate School,” a spokesman for the National Guard said.
Jake Day needs to be made to wear a pink skirt and panties.

Jake Day has only used Black Americans during election times. He tells them how much he is going to do for them to get their vote and after the election he tosses them aside until the next election. And what’s really weird about this is Black Americans in Salisbury buy into this time after time. They are good Black American Democrats. Now, Jake is going to build a homeless, tiny house village right in the middle of a Black community and expects that community to just accept what he’s doing. There’s not going to be any bathrooms in these Tiny Houses and Jake expects them to use a community bath house. Right, why should they use something like that when now all they have to do is use the nearest tree or side walk. I hope this community is going to like having seventy homeless people crapping all over their neighborhood. But they will accept it because that is what they do. I bet they don’t even know Democrat Jake Day had this planned so that he can move these homeless people off downtown’s street and out of sight so as to not spoil the new construction by the his friends in the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce.They should really wake up and see what’s going on. I bet there’s not one member of the black community who reads SBY News to know what’s going on in their community.
