My grandson is 17 yrs old has never been in any trouble and is a good child, senior in high school, good grades and has a job!
Never blame the shooter unless its a police officer or a white person.
Hopefully, you got him to a hospital where he could be treated – and the bullet recovered!
Hopefully, you both filed a Police Report to initiate an investigation based on the time and location of the shooting.
While Shayonna didn’t necessarily do the right thing here – they should have assisted…that’s on the people at work there at that time.
Hopefully, he’ll recover from his wounds and continue to be a productive member of society.
Maybe you can provide us with additional information date, time, location, and circumstances and someone will step forward with additional information to assist in the Police investigation.
While I understand your anger – you need to take some additional steps towards assisting the investigation….
What about your being on disability for decades without any obvious clues as to what that’s about, while being paid to be one of the most ineffective, perennially triggered council members ever? And now you’ll get a state pension, too, for your years of obstructionist governance?
Sorry about your grandson, but he was shot at because somebody had it in for him or, much less likely, simply because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Police will investigate, witnesses will clam up, somebody else will die later on.
Stop kissing your own behind, projecting all of your ills and failures on others and being the toxic influence that you’ve been for years. Stop misusing the power that God gave you and get busy with changing the destructive culture that permeates the black community in this county, the one that builds fences instead of tearing them down. Become an advocate, not a roadblock, a motivator, not a whiner. Any store in that area is well aware of their surroundings and are not interested in inviting more trouble than they already deal with on a daily basis.

He got shot in a city you helped ruin, never want to admit there’s no crime except white on black, I’m betting like with most black victims it’s done by your own race. Be part of the solution not complain when it’s you or your family, but for all families that live her come over in my ghetto house broke into 2005 in broad daylight while gone. House shot up twice in one week three years ago , knew who did it no arrest, how do I know because he threatened us. I know about the teachers at Parkside during that time and you sucked!! Gym teacher chasing after young girls sunbathing out behind the building. Or let’s talk about the assistant football coach (believe he still is part owner of a flooring company in town) screwing an underage cheerleader. Or the idiot asshole Andy Hall who during his 40 years of milking the system only catered to the kids of the more prominent members of the community. You teachers did nothing to prepare the kids for the real world you merely just shuffled us through. 99% of the faculty then we’re there for a paycheck and a guaranteed state retirement. As a former teacher of April’s you should be embarrassed of the students you turned out and the lack of effort you put into your job and those kids.
Yes, my life did indeed turn out exceptional. I am quietly retired after a lifetime of service. I am sorry that you have had such a poor educational experience. Unfortunately, there are some truly terrible teachers, and you clearly experienced many of them.
As for myself, I worked very hard during my career to give my students every opportunity I could. My statements reflect the fact that despite my efforts, April was destined to end up exactly where she is, and while there may indeed be some teachers that did not positively affect her, the blame rests squarely on her family (and herself) for her past and continued failures.
