Biden calls Kamala ‘President Harris’, says black entrepreneurs don’t usually have lawyers in speech attacking the Republican ‘assault’ on voting rights

President Joe Biden condemned attacks on voter rights as ‘unAmerican’ on Friday as he delivered a commencement speech at South Carolina State University.

His visit was in part a favor to his ally Rep. Jim Clyburn, who helped resurrect Biden’s faltering primary campaign in South Carolina last year.

But he also used it to attack the Republican ‘assault’ on voting rights and to implore his audience to become leaders and business owners investing in their own communities, and helping raise the number of government contracts going to entrepreneurs from minority groups.

‘We learned there’s no difference between a black entrepreneur and a white entrepreneur in success,’ he said.

‘Except the black entrepreneur usually doesn’t have a lawyer, usually doesn’t have someone who is going to be there and accounting to get it all set up.

‘Their idea is as profound but the help is missing.’
