Sen. John Kennedy has earned a promotion, step aside Mitch McConnell

Kennedy once said the Senate ‘is like high school, but nobody ever graduates’

Scientists have yet to create a perpetual-motion machine. However, the perpetual-quotation machine has been invented and is functioning beautifully. His name is U.S. Senator John Kennedy.

The Louisiana Republican is one of America’s most dependable journalistic resources. When a columnist or broadcaster requires a colorful and droll observation on current events, Kennedy delivers more swiftly than FedEx.

“I needed a quote for my story,” a congressional correspondent recalled in BuzzFeed. “And what do you know? I put a nickel in John Kennedy and a quote came out.”

His homespun remarks, conveyed in a Southern drawl, generated a quiz called, “Who said it: Sen. John Kennedy or Foghorn Leghorn?”

Kennedy once said the Senate “is like high school, but nobody ever graduates.” He described a superficial “fix” to ObamaCare as “putting paint on rotting wood.” He is no fan of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. He said about the California Democrat: “I don’t mean any disrespect, but it must suck to be that dumb.”

“Putin is a wolf,” Kennedy told Fox News Channel’s Sean Hannity Tuesday night. “I think he thinks President Biden is a sheep in sheep’s clothing.”

  1. The people of Kentucky have been voting for Mitch McConnell for decades. How’s that working out for them? They’re one of the poorest states in the country with the most food stamp and Medicare recipients. Actually all southern red states are the poorest states in the country..lagging behind blue ones in average median incomes, education and healthcare. The red states have fewer crime statistics because they have less folks. If you don’t like what’s going on in your blue state…feel free to move to a red one. If you’re retired, it’s great but remember, taxes are cheaper and so infrastructure sucks. Don’t get hit with a hurricane, tornado or other natural disaster either because any assistance would be considered a socialist program. But good luck in your red states!
