Last year, I was approached by Salisbury University Professor and local author Haven Simmons requesting my permission to write a book about my law enforcement career with special emphasis on my job as the elected Sheriff of Wicomico County.
With a little trepidation, and quite honestly, bouts of consternation, I consented and sat down for a few detailed interviews with Dr. Haven Simmons.
On December 14, 2021, the below book and audio book will be released throughout the nation, to include Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and many other booksellers, just in time for the holiday season.
Just to be clear, I made it known to the author that I am not releasing this book for any financial or political gain. The author approached me seeking my permission to write this book. I have requested no proceeds from the sale of this book.
Instead, I want the world to know that if we as a society want a good and strong America, then the police must be an integral part in making it so. If we in law enforcement do not uphold our U.S. Constitution and the principles of our Founders, then we are no better than any other country that enslaves or impoverishes it’s citizens for their own leaders’ power and personal gain. Strong leadership is essential to the future of our country.
We are in the process of scheduling book signings with Sheriff Mark Lamb and other accomplished authors beginning next month.

I am currently planning to write a second book on my many exploits while working Drug Interdiction as a Maryland State Trooper to include the shootings, shooting deaths, and the arrests of those police officers gone astray.
What else will you see and read in this second book?
You will hear and see from my eyes the seizures of millions of dollars in cocaine, heroin and bulk U.S. Currency seized from very elaborately constructed, after-market installed, electronically controlled hidden compartments right here along the Eastern Shore’s notorious U.S. Rt. 13.
Then I’ll take you for many tours of duty while working the infamous Interstate 95 drug corridor, where I supervised and orchestrated many seizures from Miami to Maine. What we saw. What we endured. What we experienced as we encountered the worst of the worst.

While I think it’s pretty cool that Sheriff Lewis has gained such notoriety, (with all due respect) when does he have time to SHERIFF? What’s not mentioned is the fact that Sheriff Lewis and Sheriff Mark Lamb have been shooting a new pay per view type series, American Sheriff, (or something like that). I heard you pay something like $4.99 a month to view their TV series. Again, when does he have time to Sheriff when he’s hob knobbing with President Trump in Florida or making many trips to Arizona. I’m sure one day I’ll write a book and believe me, I’ve got some stories to tell but I’LL BE RETIRED and not being paid by Wicomico Taxpayers. All that being said, I wish him the very best and hope it becomes a best seller because if anyone knows Mike Lewis he can surely tell a great story. I too will purchase this book and pray that I can read it in peace and not get the CD
version where I have to listen to his voice on disk instead. Just kidding!

The problem with Wicomico County Sheriff Mike Lewis is that he has Politicized his position! He is down in Florida wearing his Wicomico County, Maryland uniform that was paid for by the citizens of Wicomico County representing us as Republicans! If you are a Democrat you can forget any support from Mike Lewis. He is using his position as Sheriff for personal gain and to embolden his ego! There is absolutely No accountability for this Sheriff’s Dept. by the Wicomico County Council or from the Wicomico County Administrator Mr. John Psota! Oh ofcourse John and Mike are best buddies who worked for years together at MSP so why would John Psota say anything?? I see Quid Quo Pro taking place right here and right now folks!!!! This Sheriff’s Office has run amok with Mike Lewis NEVER being there at work or for his supervision who are complete SuckAXXes who are guaranteed to get promoted if you are a Mike Lewis sheeple! If you are making over $100,000 dollars a year straight salary, Time to go! Bob had no problem cutting loose county department heads who had been with the county for a very long time making over a $100.000 dollars a year forcing them into retirement. What I think 8:21Pm was trying to say is that retired Wicomico County Sheriff Captain Mark “Babe” Wilson was never offered or clued in that a Major’s position was going to be created after all of these years without one. The Sheriff, Mike Lewis and one of his sheeple, Captain Todd Richardson made a secret deal that after Wilson retired, he would be sure to be promoted to a Major. And sure enough upon Babe’s retirement what do you know, Drunk Todd gets promoted to Major! Sad to say the least. It is corrupt activity like this that sours the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office and taints it’s reputation. I have never seen a department so recklessly run the way it has been these past years. We are very fortunate to have Mike Lewis as our sheriff. It is unfortunate however, that he does not have the support of at least two members of our county council. A third member votes as the other two tell him. I am looking forward to Sheriff Lambs visit in January. I am glad that I live in the county and have the sheriff’s department and not the city with Jake Day and the city police department.
We are less fortunate to have Mike Lewis as the Sheriff! Democrat hating Sheriff putting Politics first before the citizens!!
I am proud of the three Wicomico County Council members that stood their ground and vote against Mike Lewis everytime! They actually see the corruption of County resources this Sheriff utilizes for personal use! Now only the rest of the Council members grew some balls and did the same!

WE are TAXPAYERS in the County and have every right to our opinions. I have heard from MULTIPLR in the know, first hand people who have stated for YEARS that Mike is rarely in the office. We all know Mike is a great guy and very well respected by most. However, there are some that know inside information, including cover ups. Example, why did Mike allow a sting OFF SCHOOL PROPERTY when he went after Jake Days wife when ALL of her violations and broken laws were ON SCHOOL PROPERTY? This was done on purpose so she wouldn’t get charged with a FELONY. Like I said earlier, I could write a book too, believe me and I’d have MANY helpers assist me with even more information.

This no accountability Wicomico County Sheriff’s Department needs the Maryland Attorney General’s Office to take over and ensure that us as citizens are getting our money’s worth. There should be a audit of how many hours the Sheriff is actually working instead of him working for himself.
