McDonald’s is significantly hiking menu prices this year in order to keep pace with rising wages for employees and the costs associated with America’s labor shortage and supply chain crises, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The fast-food mega-chain said it’s struggling to recruit enough employees to quickly serve customers and keep restaurants fully open, despite offering higher pay to workers.
Executives reportedly told the Journal they have raised menu prices in the U.S. by approximately 6% in 2021 in comparison to last year and plan to keep prices elevated for at least the remainder of the year.
“That’s because in McDonald’s U.S. restaurants, wages this year are up at least 10% as of now and supply costs for things such as food and paper are anticipated to increase 4%,” the Hill reported.
Kiosks eliminated jobs….now the business jacks prices. We knew this was gonna happen. Only way to correct the business error, dont patronize. They already know most will say they wont go, but end up doing it. Need to hit them in their wallet.
Banks did the same thing
When ATMS came out, they eliminated teller jobs and told us there would be no fees and you could get your money anywhere.
Now you have to get it at your banks ATM or there are fees.
If you try and cash a check and you do not have an account at that bank there are fees.
Sometimes using a teller there are fees.

Back in the day, a family of five could get each a burger, shake and fries for under $5.
Now, a five year old can get a Happy Meal for about the same price.

In Ocean City, the McDonalds locked their doors (and they’re bathrooms) locking out ALL customers. I thought that violated health department laws but Town management just looks the other way.
They should be OUT of business their food is so cheap quality & sucks !!!! WAY overpriced all for profit !!!!!
