After nursing a hankering for Popeye’s fried chicken for hours, I drove over and ordered an eight piece of dark. I thought I misheard the cashier when she said, “That’ll be $18.” No, I heard right. $17.99 +tax.
Over $2 each piece.
For dark meat.
I canceled my order.

Meanwhile, high prices like this are causing fewer and/or smaller purchases – leading to less business and layoffs of local workers. Another unintended consequence of the PCOTWH administration’s policies!

2. I have never been to a Popeye’s anywhere in the U.S. over a period of 20+ years that they haven’t screwed up the order.

My wife works at a locally owned restaurant and she said they are going to have to raise their prices starting this weekend and they really dread doing it but the cost is going up so much that they have no choice. One of the companies that deliver their food charges a $40.00 fuel surcharge and now that is up to $120.00 on top of the increase cost of the food goods themselves.
Yes there will be some who will gauge the customers but the reality is prices sky rocket when fuel cost go up and our fuel cost are rising fast then you add the other factors like labor shortages, shipping issues and all the other crap going on and it makes the prices even higher than what the fuel cost alone would cause.
Just think…. We have not even finished year 1 with this administration. I am terrified to see what prices are going to be like by the time he leaves office.
Sleepy Joe will not leave office, he will be carried out 1 way or another
UPS and FedEx both have fuel surcharges. It will cost a small fortune to ship going forward.

18 dollars last night for a small double cheeseburger combo and a Whopper sandwich last night at Burger King.
No drink or fries with the whopper! I did a double take when they told me at the window. They don’t tell you at the microphone! I asked to the receipt and it was correct. Won’t be going back anytime soon.
