As congressional Democrats appear to be moving away from a $3.5 trillion package of progressive spending proposals, one Republican is warning that even lower amounts will still represent massive waste.
Progressives have pitched a $3.5 trillion spending package to fund and expand pet social programs. After meeting with President Joe Biden on Friday, some Democrats seemed to agree they would reduce the overall amount they want to spend. Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia, who has opposed the $3.5 trillion package, has said $1.5 trillion is a number he can live with.
But even that much in the hands of liberal Democrats is an invitation to disaster, said Republican Rep. Kevin Brady of Texas, according to Breitbart.
Of course its not good – don’t have to be a law-maker to understand $5 TRILLION HUGE. Oh yeah, spread over 10 years – really? That makes it better?
If it was $5 TRILLION without pork, special interests (i.e., scratch my back and I will scratch yours/constituents) – but its NOT. Red tape or small print – never allows all the $$$ to go where they state its all for. Are we hurting? Yes, yet the pork is more important.
We haven’t gotten to the $5 TRILLION yet and prices continue to rise. Hmmmm… Gas, energy, food, services. Hell, we can’t get folks to work to empty those ships at sea, into trucks to move cargo, into stores to distribute to customers. Psst, customers need $$$ to buy too!
Hell, all we care about is the next I-phone, social media safety, shots, entertainment gossip – SAVE BRITNEY, which network spews louder about the other side and of course the climate (WIND TURBINES).
Eventually “hope” won’t be free either. Surprised Larry hasn’t figured out how to tax that too!
