WASHINGTON, DC: Rep. Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) today announced the award of $2,436,982 in one-time capital improvement grants to the community health centers serving Maryland’s Eastern Shore.  Funding was administered via the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).  These grant dollars may be used to support construction, expansion, alteration, renovation, and other capital improvements to modify, enhance, and expand health care infrastructure.

Specific funding allocations can be found below:

  • West Cecil Health Center: $601,376
  • Choptank Community Health System: $829,065
  • Three Lower Counties Community Services: $1,006,541

Congressman Harris issued the following statement:

“Our federally funded local community health centers have been at the forefront of serving my constituents during the COVID-19 pandemic.  This funding will allow them to strengthen their physical infrastructure and further advance their mission of providing primary healthcare services to many members in the community.”

  1. I just called Andy Harris’ office in Salisbury to voice my opinion re: gun grab through the military code of justice where they want no veterans to own firearms/have firearms. another so called “red flag” bill by the unconstitutional demon crats. call him to voice your opinion, his phone # is 202-225-5311. Thank you Congressman Harris for all that you do.
