As the highly contagious Delta variant has swept across the United States, the country has reached a tragic milestone.
COVID-19 has now killed more Americans than the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic did, when roughly 675,000 people died.
It didn’t have to be that way.
“Big pockets of American society — and worse, their leaders — have thrown this away” by not getting vaccinated, Dr. Howard Markel, a medical historian from the University of Michigan, told the Associated Press.
This happened despite vast gains in scientific knowledge during the past century, including the development of three powerful vaccines approved in the United States to fight the new coronavirus.
“We know that all pandemics come to an end,” Dr. Jeremy Brown, director of emergency care research at the U.S. National Institutes of Health who wrote a book on influenza, told the AP. Still, “they can do terrible things while they’re raging.”
Publishers Notes:
Died FROM covid, or just happened to have it? Yes it’s tragic, but give real numbers….the gunshot victim did not suddenly die from covid…the bullet did him in… same with overdose, accident, etc.
…yeah, and they didn’t call death by gunshot a death by the 1918 flu, or death in car accident..etc…etc. death by the 1918 flu. COVID death numbers are a total crock…
And China & the Democrats got Off Scott Free !!!!!
Percentage wise, the number of deaths to date compared to 1918 is no where near the .0058% of the 1918 population. In fact the current percentage rate is approximately .0018% or .0032% less! Big, big difference, especially since we have been counting the deaths for a year and one half.
the usa government has killed more americans along with citizens of other countries then all the flu contagions combined through out the history of the world!
I like the Yeah but game!
Rickie did a PSA about this weekend’s LEO enforcement for the “pop up rally”
“Yeah – but” he still wore that black under armour golf shirt with rose colored cheeks. Again insinuating Beer-in-hand mentality!
HAHAHAHAHAHA
