A Viewer Writes: August 17, 2021 County Council Meeting

At the August 17, 2021 County Council meeting Council Member John Cannon stated that “someone” questioned the fact that he had property in downtown Salisbury and said he shouldn’t vote on the HORIZON bill. Cannon stated that he got an opinion from the Wicomico County Ethics Commission and they said he could vote on the bill. What Cannon failed to mention was the fact that his Campaign Treasurer is David Ennis. Why is that important? David Ennis is a member of the Wicomico County Ethics Commission! Is that a major conflict of interest? Maybe John Cannon should have recused himself all together. Maybe David Ennis is in violation of his own ethical standards! Where is the outrage!

  1. Look, John Cannon has been screwing Wicomico County, Salisbury and local residents well before Joe Albero even thought about moving to this area. Nobody did anything about it in the past and nobody will do anything about it in the future. The best thing for you, or anybody, to do is recognize the facts, get on the good side of John Cannon and shut your mouth.

  2. Maybe you all should not vote for these slum lords and crooks..yes its is unethical to vote on issues that EVENTUALLY LINE HIS POCKETS… money! IS THE ONLY REASON HE RAN. He does not care about wicomico citizens… How STUPID YOU VOTERS OF SALISBURY ARE! Keep voting in dunn deals, realtors, slum lords, GOP army officers..you GET EXACTLY WHAT YOU DESEVRE..MY RECOMMENDATION …MOVE !!!

  3. David Ennis is a member of the Wicomico Ethics Committee. However, he did NOT hear the case regarding Cannon and the Horizon bill. He recused himself due to conflict….as anyone naturally would have. Check your facts before jumping to erroneous conclusions.
