FREE WALK-UP VACCINE CLINICS HELD AT WICOMICO COUNTY FAIR

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will hold vaccine clinics this weekend August 20th, 21st, and 22nd during the Wicomico County Fair held at Winterplace Park in Salisbury. These walk-up clinics will be located on Blue Ribbon Road near the mobile command vehicle. Both Moderna (2 doses, ages 18+) and Pfizer (2 doses, ages 12+) vaccines will be available. No appointment needed.

Those who receive the first dose of their COVID-19 vaccine at this walk-up clinic may contact the Wicomico County Health Department to schedule the second dose. To schedule an appointment for the second vaccine dose, please call (410) 341-4600.

With the Delta variant causing cases to rise, getting vaccinated against COVID-19 is more urgent than ever. Vaccination prevents severe illness, hospitalization, and death; it also helps reduce the spread of the virus in communities.  Unvaccinated individuals should get vaccinated and continue masking until they are fully vaccinated. The highest spread of cases and severe outcomes is happening in places with low vaccination rates.
