Frustration over the mostly feckless national Republican Party is nothing new. Those of us on the political right have few electoral options given our two-party system. In some elections, the choice is stark and easy, as when Reagan or Trump was at the top of the ticket. Other years saw names like McCain or Romney on the ticket and many of us held our noses voting Republican only because it was the better of two lousy choices.
The leftist agenda moves forward regardless of who is elected, at the presidential or congressional level, the only difference being the speed of decline. America is a runaway freight train, heading toward a cliff. When Democrats are in charge, it is pedal to the metal. With Republicans driving, the gas pedal is only partially pressed, with no effort to hit the brakes, save for rare bursts of a Reagan or Trump, and despite the opposition from their own party.
The current GOP is quite happy in the minority. They can whine and complain, with no actual responsibility or voice in legislation. Campaign donations are solicited with promises to reverse the leftist agenda, promises never kept, unlike the campaign contributions they collect.
Conservatives have no home in the current Washington, D.C. political machine. Conservatives are not a small fringe group like the Lincoln Project NeverTrumpers, but 80 million Americans who voted for the last and best hope to stop the runaway train before it crashes into the abyss of poverty and tyranny.
Over the past decade, Republicans controlled Congress, either completely or partially, in most years. The GOP controlled both houses of Congress during the last two years of Obama and the first two years of Trump, a total of four years. What did they accomplish?
I was a Democrat until 2016 when I voted for Trump I didn’t like the twitter stuff with him or sometimes the arrogance and bragging but I can say he did more for this country than any president in my 55 years of voting every primary and presidential election. He made us finally get the respect from other countries we had been allowing other countries to sell their stuff here and never pay anything, but we on the other hand paid a lot for our stuff to be sold abroad. He made democracy better than ever and brought us much prosperity and we were respected as never before. The borders being built brought us safety from more criminals and drugs. He built a respect with other countries from strength not weakness. He worked with our military to be better than in decades. The VA Administration was treating our soldiers coming home and their needs were deplorable many died before they got the medical treatment and mental attention like never before. Our gas prices were the cheapest, everyone that wanted a job had a job unemployment the lowest ever. Our military got the best planes and ships we had seen since WWII. We have lost all of this since Biden’s 7 mos. in office his agenda is to have everyone not work and receive stimulus checks with no end and immigrants more than ever to receive free medical, insurance, and $ so that they don’t have to work, our children to receive virtual schooling which we harm their futures in the world for centuries to come. He had plans for so much more and a brighter future with Biden it is one catastrophe after another, he is the one that needs impeachment NOW.
so all those years voting democrat, you think you aren’t part of the problem? just another fool! shut up and go away!
I understand your reply to 525, but instead of “Go Away”, I would like 525 to know he’s got 55 years of mistake to make up for and had better put his nose to the grindstone on it every day and night.
At least they were not Biden’s they actually accomplished something. The only one that I regretted voting for was Obama. Trump is by far the best and I pray he wins in 2024. At least I own what I’ve done and who I am what about you CHEAP SHOT!
Uh………………….let me count the ways
