Governor Hogan Statement on Senate Passage of Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill

ANNAPOLIS, MDGovernor Larry Hogan today issued the following statement following the passage of the bipartisan infrastructure bill in the United States Senate:

“This historic bill will grow jobs, expand economic opportunity, and enhance our national securityall without raising taxes. Its overwhelming and bipartisan passage in the Senate is a testament to the fact that this bill has not been driven by the conventional top-down partisan political process. It was driven by leaders and citizens across the country who have been demanding for years that elected officials in Washington on both sides of the aisle finally take action to address America’s crumbling infrastructure.

“I want to thank my partners in the Senate for considering the input of the governors and incorporating every single recommendation of our National Governors Association infrastructure initiative that we presented to them at our Annapolis infrastructure summit, including relieving traffic congestion to boost economic competitiveness, incentivizing public-private partnerships, investing in cybersecurity and resiliency, and cutting red tape on permitting for key projects.

“As the bill advances, we cannot allow the priorities of the American people to be hijacked by partisan politics or the extremes in the House. The overwhelming majority of Americans support this bill and believe it should not be tied to any other legislation. I urge the House to listen to their voices and pass it into law without delay.”

  1. 2000+ pages.

I bet he hasn’t read it either.

No one has. And there are NO NEW TAXES of any kind?? BS. How about new surcharges and fees??
Politicians. I’d rather try handling a cobra snake than believing what they say.

    Keep cheering.

  2. Does Lockdown Larry actually thinks that someone gives a Flying F*** about his statement?? His statement has absolutely nothing to do with the State of Maryland. This Fat Slob is only trying to get publicity so that his name will get out there when he runs for another office.

  3. Better hope this one does not pass through, we are all going to pay for this, this one is going to hit everybody’s pocketbook, get ready to tell them how many miles you drive.

  4. If there is no new taxes, why is the middle income be paying higher prices, since major corporations will still be making more money?

THAT IS A TAX ON THE MIDDLE INCOME. I am not a stupid follower. I know what ECONOMICS 101 states.

  5. Is Hogan taking bribes to dole out Baltimore CIty HS graduates to obtain a cash donation too? To achieve a 1.35 GPA by these students is easy money and better than selling masks by his wife to Korean companies.
