The Eagle’s Nest, a biker bar in Cheyenne, Wyoming, has been criticized for promoting a t-shirt that makes use of an anti-LGBTQ slur. The shirt exhibits an outdated, bearded man pointing a gun on the viewer. It reads, “In Wyoming, now we have a remedy for AIDS. We shoot f*ck’n f*gg*ts.”
The bar offered out of the shirts. The bar’s proprietor, Ray Bereziuk, informed The Cheyenne Submit that he will not reorder extra as a result of he is “within the bar enterprise, not the attire enterprise.”
“We hoped that they’d select to cease promoting them once they realized the hurt it did to the LGBTQ group and people dwelling with AIDS,” Wyoming Equality, the state’s LGBTQ group, stated in a public Facebook publish printed final Saturday.
The group stated it was working with the Human Rights Marketing campaign (HRC), the nation’s largest LGBTQ group to contact the bar’s alcohol distributors and “see if they’re comfortable with working with an institution promoting most of these gadgets,” the group stated in a Fb touch upon its publish.
