Now don’t get all uppity, Dawn and I are sticking around. I have agreed to stay to make the transition as simple as possible. The new owners are a great group of guys who don’t want to change a thing, nice compliment.
Anyhow, I am extremely happy and excited. Think about it. We took the very last place most people would consider walking into and turned it into one of Ocean City’s hottest spots. My job is done, especially when you have as much as 80% women customers. AT THE ALAMO!
The Motel has some of the finest rooms in OC and you have to tip your hat to Mark Odachowski who originally had a vision with the old run down Motel and completely renovated it. He didn’t tear it down like most others would have. He’s been a great partner who has always kept his word.
I look forward to seeing everyone soon and please have a safe and enjoyable 4th of July.
I seen it for sale. I wish I had the money to buy it. Good luck
You and Mark saved this landmark from turning into the next vacant lot waiting for a thousand-a-night carbon copy hotel and gift shop. The charm of OC from the 1950s is captured by this place.
What next?
Great job, Joe! Having all that hard work pay off like this IS a compliment paid! You and Mark really made West OC a better place! KUDOS!
Congratulations, Joe…
Thanks Joe. Hospitality top notch and that home made chix salad…to die for!
Fair winds and calm seas ahead!
Mayor of OC? Hmmm….
You people are so great. Mark is an incredible human being and deserves a TON of credit!
Since I had a spot in the food court at the center of Salisbury I can assure you that anything to do with food and/or drink is one hell of a tough business. Controlling food cost and keeping good help is a tougher job than you can imagine. Long hours and slim margins make the going tough.
Dang, I was just getting ready to get uppity
